Last night I had my first battery failure. My little old APC Backups Pro 280 started complaining that I should replace the battery. Yes, I’d left the thing unplugged for a year (since BSDCan 2005). Plus the unit was about 5 or 6 years old. So it’s no wonder that the battery died. Luckily, there is a good place to find replacements, right here in Ottawa.
I went to Total Battery, at their Bentley Avenue location. Price: $39.10 taxes included. Fortunately, they are open Saturday, so I got what I needed without waiting until Monday.
They get my recommendation for battery replacements. :)
