I’m not complaining. It’s just very amazing how much work a laptop does to start up.
As soon as I can get a terminal session I start:
[dan@air01:~] $ w 18:13 up 3 mins, 11 users, load averages: 164.29 42.91 15.80 USER TTY FROM LOGIN@ IDLE WHAT dan console - 31Dec19 230days - dan s000 - 18:12 - -bash dan s001 - 18:12 - -bash dan s002 - 18:12 - -bash dan s003 - 18:12 - -bash dan s004 - 18:12 - -bash dan s007 - 18:12 - -bash dan s010 - 18:12 - -bash dan s011 - 18:12 - -bash dan s012 - 18:13 - -bash dan s013 - 18:13 - w [dan@air01:~] $ uptime 18:13 up 3 mins, 11 users, load averages: 217.62 60.57 22.57 [dan@air01:~] $ uptime 18:13 up 3 mins, 11 users, load averages: 270.84 77.10 28.88 [dan@air01:~] $ uptime 18:13 up 3 mins, 11 users, load averages: 318.14 93.60 35.29 [dan@air01:~] $ uptime 18:13 up 3 mins, 11 users, load averages: 343.19 102.52 38.78 [dan@air01:~] $ uptime 18:13 up 4 mins, 11 users, load averages: 387.69 120.00 45.73 [dan@air01:~] $ uptime 18:13 up 4 mins, 11 users, load averages: 407.41 128.53 49.18 [dan@air01:~] $ uptime 18:14 up 4 mins, 11 users, load averages: 404.02 132.46 51.03 [dan@air01:~] $ uptime 18:14 up 4 mins, 11 users, load averages: 397.29 135.57 52.60 [dan@air01:~] $ uptime 18:14 up 4 mins, 11 users, load averages: 277.77 128.63 52.51 [dan@air01:~] $ uptime 18:14 up 4 mins, 11 users, load averages: 224.07 124.06 52.21 [dan@air01:~] $ uptime 18:15 up 5 mins, 11 users, load averages: 131.49 112.26 50.82 [dan@air01:~] $ uptime 18:16 up 6 mins, 11 users, load averages: 63.19 96.86 48.32 [dan@air01:~] $ uptime 18:17 up 7 mins, 11 users, load averages: 34.42 78.26 45.98 [dan@air01:~] $ uptime 18:19 up 10 mins, 11 users, load averages: 7.17 51.43 39.89 [dan@air01:~] $
Upon boot, it started:
- Safari
- Termina
- Keeper Password Manager
- Activity Monitor
- Cisco Webex Meetings
- TextEdit
- Messages
- Finder
- Textual 7
- Twitterific
I’m pretty happy that it struggles through all that for me.
Right now, we’re at:
[dan@air01:~] $ uptime 18:23 up 13 mins, 11 users, load averages: 3.29 25.99 31.41
