For the first time since I put it on in May 2001, I am without the custom bracelet Bronwyn made for me just before I left New Zealand. It is not lost, merely left behind. I’ll retrieve it next weekend, and it’s been put aside for me. But for the next 6 days, it will be strange to not be wearing it.
It was made from silver melted down from necklaces I no longer wore. They were bought by my mother for me in Portugal. Bronwyn melted them down and create a braclet depecting several NZ mountains. It is unique.
I’ll have it back next Saturday.
NOTE ADDED 2008-12-05: Retrieved. Wearing it now.
