Yes, this is blatant bragging. But realistically, this is more a function of my ISP (Verizon FiOS) and my electricity supplier (PECO) than my abilities. To be fair, it is more contingent upon no power failures than anything else. I do have a UPS, but that’s only good for about 10-20 minutes.
For August 2021, my home network had 100% uptime, according to RIPE.

I’ve been hosting this device since 2013-05-29 (just over 8 years at the time of writing). The All Time uptime since then is 7y 348d 9h 32m, or about 96.22%. That downtime will include one 24hr service outage, a few multi-day power cuts, and at least two rack relocations. If you want to do the math to figure out exactly how much downtime that is, I will happily include your math here. (thank you)
RIPE provides these probes free of charge. They hook up to a USB power source. In return for hosting you can earn credits to use with RIPE. I have 33,155,331 credits. With them I can create my own measurements for my personal use. I’m using them to check ping times to the FreshPorts host and to check DNS latency.
I started my measurements in 2018-03-07 (over 5 years I had built up some credits, and I more than enough to continue for at least one more year).
I meant to write more about what you can monitor and the types of data you can obtain. I’m out of time today. Here is one such set of data:
