I’ve been playing with OpenVPN since mid December. I like it. I like it better than IPsec. Why? Because OpenVPN can give me direct access to all my systems wherever I am. In 17 days, I’ll be in Florida. I’m heading down to Palm Beach on business, then over to Tampa to visit friends, and catch a Lightning game. The tickets are vastly cheaper than in Ottawa. I’ve taken quite a liking to spamd and pf. I’m in the midst of documenting how to set it up on FreeBSD. I found one snag today: spamlogd was not updating the spamd table. It seems I’ve found the answer on the pf mailing list. Stay tuned.
Nokia has the right idea. Why make different rechargers for each phone? Why not have one recharger for every phone? That way, should I forget my recharger when I go to a conference, I can borrow a recharger from any other Nokia owner. That is what happened this morning at NYCBSDCon. My phone was dying and my recharger was at home. OUCH.
