APC battery replacement

Last night I had my first battery failure. My little old APC Backups Pro 280 started complaining that I should replace the battery. Yes, I’d left the thing unplugged for a year (since BSDCan 2005). BSDCan starts next week!

BSDCan is next week! I spent some of yesterday organizing some air plane tickets and getting together the gear for the registration desk and wireless network. Registrations are flowing in now. There is a sub-group of attendees that leave it until the last minute. At one point, I received 7 registrations in under 6 hours. If that rate continued for the whole time registration was open, we would need a much bigger venue!

Spam is very annoying

Spam is so annoying. It takes up so much of my time. I don’t want spammers posting here. Neither do you. This morning I found 60 posts waiting to be moderated. I’ve had enough of this crap.
