I recently purchased four DLT drives; three from one seller, and one from another. The three drives cost me $30.25 to ship from Edmonton to Ottawa via Canada Post. The other drive cost me $48 in shipping. I knew that was on the high side when I bid for the item on ebay. I don’t think I got value for money as these images can demonstrate:

I have emailed the seller. Hopefully we can resolve this easily. I’m willing to open the unit and attempt repair, but wish to have his blessing first.
After more than a month of back and forth, the guy finally agreed to refund $20. He was very poor at replying to my messages. He ignored most of my emails. He only started replying when I said lack of response would prompt action with eBay. Then he’d go silent again. *sigh*
This is the worst dealing I’ve had dealing with a seller.
After much back and forth, he finally agreed to refund $20 of shipping costs.
