Full disclosure: I’m biased. I like the combination of PostgreSQL, FreeBSD, ZFS, and Bacula. In fact, I like it so much, I wrote the PostgreSQL backend for Bacula. How to to respond to valid criticism

This email came to my attention this evening (be sure to read the bottom half of the post). In the original post, Joe Barbish asks for a committer to commit his patch and asks for feedback. Eygene Ryabinkin provides some feedback. All I can say is: when you ask for advice, and get it, don’t be an ass. Take the criticism gracefully.
