Here’s something to be aware of. Update your PostgreSQL client on your Bacula client if it is used for backing up the Catalog.
Ngaios just told me:
FILE_AGE WARNING: /usr/backups/bacula/MyCatalog.dump is 45125 seconds old and 0 bytes
I looked at the backup job from earlier today:
28-Dec 08:15 bacula-dir JobId 195194: shell command: run BeforeJob "/usr/local/bacula/make_catalog_backup.new MyCatalog" 28-Dec 08:15 bacula-dir JobId 195194: BeforeJob: pg_dump: server version: 9.4.0; pg_dump version: 9.3.5 28-Dec 08:15 bacula-dir JobId 195194: BeforeJob: pg_dump: aborting because of server version mismatch 28-Dec 08:15 bacula-dir JobId 195194: Start Backup JobId 195194, Job=BackupCatalog.2014-12-28_08.15.00_34
There’s the problem, an old version of pg_dump.
Fixed by upgrading the PostgreSQL client.
